What can I do if the book I want is checked out?

Steps to try:
- Check the due date in the catalog record. If it looks like it will be returned soon you may want to place a hold. (See this other FAQ on placing holds.)
- Check for more copies of the book in our catalog.
- If there are no extra copies, you may want to search MeLCat
- If you can't find the book in MeLCat, use Get InterLibrary Loan Items to request it. This may take a bit longer to arrive than ordering through MeLCat.
