Most of Hekman's rare books are stored in Heritage Hall (archives) and may not be checked out, but they may be read there in-person. Ask Heritage Hall staff for assistance. The Meeter Center also has a rare book collection, and like our larger rare book collection in Heritage Hall, they may not be checked out.
